https://www.jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1005
<p>The development of sports massage services in large cities such as Surabaya requires service providers to deliver service quality that meets customer expectations. This study aimed to analyze the service quality of sports massage services in Surabaya using the SERVQUAL approach. A descriptive quantitative method with a survey design was employed. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents who were users of sports massage services, selected using an accidental sampling technique. The research instrument was a SERVQUAL questionnaire comprising five dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, measured using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the mean scores of perceptions, expectations, and the service quality gap (perception–expectation). The results indicated that all SERVQUAL dimensions exhibited negative gap values, suggesting that customers’ perceptions had not fully met their expectations. The largest gaps were found in the reliability and assurance dimensions (–0.57), while the smallest gap was observed in the responsiveness dimension (–0.52). In conclusion, the quality of sports massage services in Surabaya can be categorized as good; however, improvements are still required, particularly in service reliability and assurance, to optimally meet customer expectations.</p>MulyonoEka Kurnia DarismanGatot Margisal Utomo

<p>Sports activities play a crucial role in improving an individual's quality of life, physical fitness, and overall health. However, individuals must balance adequate physical preparation with increased training intensity and frequency. Neglecting these factors increases the risk of sports injuries. For some individuals who engage in recreational sports activities, as well as professional athletes, injuries such as overuse injuries, ligament sprains, and muscle strains are possible. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of strength training on increasing muscle mass and preventing sports injuries. The research method adopted is a qualitative research method. The results show that strength training is a physical exercise aimed at increasing muscle endurance, muscle mass, and strength through the application of weight to the body, thus preventing sports injuries. The study concluded that muscle mass increases are influenced by strength training. The amount of muscle mass gained is influenced by factors such as the duration of the training and the variety of strength training movements. Furthermore, strength training also plays a role in preventing sports injuries. Strength training plays a significant role in injury prevention because it can strengthen and stabilize joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.</p>Suranta Pratama GintingAnna R MilalaDavid PangaribuanYudha PrasetyaFahri

<p>This study analyzes the influence of AI integration on the readiness and perceptions of Physical Education (PE) practitioners in Indonesia, a topic not yet comprehensively mapped. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 352 respondents (undergraduate students, teachers, graduate students, lecturers). The instrument, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), assessed demographics, AI knowledge, perceived benefits and risks, and readiness. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, non-parametric tests, and Spearman correlation. Respondents demonstrated high AI exposure (86.4%). Perceived benefits (mean=4.15±0.67) and risks (3.98±0.71) were both high. A significant paradox emerged: personal readiness was very high (4.29±0.61), while institutional readiness was low (3.74±0.89). Significant differences in risk perception were found based on respondent status (p=0.043). AI knowledge positively correlated with perceived benefits (r=0.18), personal readiness (r=0.24), and innovation support (r=0.26) (all p<0.01). Indonesian PE practitioners exhibit high personal readiness for AI integration, yet this is significantly hindered by low institutional preparedness. Policy priorities should focus on enhancing infrastructure, conducting mass AI literacy training, and establishing data protection regulations.</p>Toho Cholik MutohirZetiawan TrisnoDanang Ari SantosoFekie AdilaFansah AdilaMega Permata Sari

https://www.jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1080
<p>Jakarta LavAni is a professional club that recorded brilliant achievements as the champion of the 2022 and 2023 Proliga. However, in the 2025 Proliga, LavAni had to settle for a runner-up position. Although dominated by experienced players and competent foreign athletes, observations showed inconsistencies in jump serve techniques that often missed the net. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and technical errors in jump serves performed by the Jakarta LavAni club during competition in the 2025 Proliga. This study used a qualitative descriptive method through match video observation techniques. The sample in this study were 7 videos from: the final four (6 videos), and the grand final (1 video), which were played by Club LavAni in the 2025 Proliga. The research findings showed that Jakarta LavAni's jump serve ability was in the adequate category. Although the basic technique has been mastered, its effectiveness is not optimal. Jump serves are still easily received by opponents due to limitations in jump timing, ball bounce consistency, and power and accuracy of the shot. In general, this technique has been mastered fundamentally but has not reached a lethal level of efficiency. A more structured and sustainable training program is needed, especially on timing and mental stability at critical points, so that the jump serve technique can contribute more points to the team's future success. </p>I Gede Bayu Pramana SandiSyarif HidayatI Wayan Muliarta

<p>Although VO2max is important in sports, there is still a lack of research conducted on professional volleyball athletes. Some studies remain limited and exhibit wide variations. The purpose of this study was to determine the VO2max levels of professional female volleyball players and compare them with those of female volleyball athletes in Asia and worldwide. This study used a comparative, descriptive, quantitative approach. The design used was a cross-sectional design, which took measurements at a single point in time. The sample for this study was purposively selected from 14 people. The instrument used to measure VO2max values was the Balke 15-Minute Run Test. The average VO2max of participants was 39.0±4.2 ml/Kg/sec with a range of 33.5 to 43.7 ml/Kg/sec. Therefore, the cardiorespiratory fitness level of female professional volleyball players in this study, as indicated by VO2max, is below the standards for female volleyball athletes in Asia and Europe but still superior to that of the Indonesian university student population.</p>Nicky Valliana RafaelRendra KusumaFeri Weldani

<p>Adolescents are a developmental group vulnerable to various biological, psychological, and social pressures, making resilience an important adaptive resource for psychological well-being and optimal development. On the other hand, physical fitness not only plays a role in maintaining physical health but also has the potential to support adolescents’ psychological capacity. This study aimed to examine the levels of physical fitness and resilience among adolescent girls in Blitar, investigate their differences based on school type, and identify the relationship between the two variables. This study employed a quantitative approach with a comparative-correlational design. A total of 1,881 female upper secondary school students in Blitar (1,139 senior high school students and 742 vocational high school students) were involved as participants through snowball sampling. Data were collected using the Perceived Physical Fitness Scale and the Resilience Scale for Teenagers, and were analyzed using One-Sample t-tests, Independent Samples t-tests, and Pearson correlation. The findings showed that the mean score of physical fitness (M = 36.97) was below the established threshold of 40.9 (p < .001), whereas the mean score of resilience (M = 45.39) was above the threshold of 42.1 (p < .005). No significant differences were found in physical fitness (p = .081) or resilience (p = .737) based on school type. Furthermore, a positive and significant relationship was found between physical fitness and resilience (r = .393; p < .05). This study concludes that the physical fitness of adolescent girls in Blitar still requires attention, although their resilience has developed relatively well. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening physical fitness as part of a more integrative strategy for adolescent health development.</p>Gideon Bayu HariyawanAnangga Widya PradiptaNurcholis IstiawanAgung Yuda Aswara

<p>Rapid advancements in digital technology have significantly transformed the behavioral patterns of adolescents, including their participation in physical activities. Heavy reliance on gadgets is frequently linked to increased sedentary tendencies and reduced physical engagement. This study aims to examine the influence of gadget use on students' motivation to exercise at SMAN 1 Jombang. A quantitative correlational design was employed, with a total population of 900 students and a sample of 90 respondents selected through random sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires on gadget use and exercise motivation, which were developed based on relevant indicators and adapted from previous studies. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27.01 IBM for Windows. The results showed that gadget use has an effect on students’ motivation to exercise, with a coefficient of determination (R-Square) of 0.053. This indicates that gadget use contributes relatively little to exercise motivation. The findings suggest that the influence of gadget use on exercise motivation is not direct but is influenced by the pattern and purpose of its use. Gadget use dominated by passive entertainment activities, such as social media and video streaming, tends to be associated with increased sedentary behavior. In contrast, productive use has the potential to positively influence exercise motivation. In addition, exercise motivation is also influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, such as interest, health awareness, school environment, and social support. Therefore, efforts to improve exercise motivation should not only focus on limiting gadget use but also on promoting wise usage management and strengthening students’ physical activity habits. The advancement of digital technology has influenced adolescents’ activity patterns, including their participation in sports. High levels of gadget use are often associated with increased sedentary behavior and reduced physical activity. This study aims to examine the effect of gadget use on students’ motivation to exercise at SMAN 1 Jombang. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 900 students, and the sample was determined using random sampling, resulting in 90 respondents. The research instruments were questionnaires on gadget use and exercise motivation, developed based on relevant indicators and adapted from previous studies. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27.01 IBM for Windows. The results of the study indicate that gadget use has an effect on students’ motivation to exercise, with a regression value of 0.053. The research results show that gadget use has an influence on students’ motivation to exercise, with a regression value of 0.053. This value indicates that gadget use has a relatively small contribution to students’ motivation to exercise. Thus, gadget use does not always have a negative impact on exercise motivation. When used properly, gadgets can also support students’ motivation to remain active and participate in physical activity.</p>Khairunisa Salsabilah PutriYudi Dwi SaputraHijrin FithroniAbdul Aziz Hakim

<p>This study was conducted with the aim of examining the extent to which the implementation of traditional games can foster students' interest in learning Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) at SDI Al Mutmainnah Bringin Dasuk Sumenep. The approach chosen was a quasi-experimental design. One Group Pretest-Posttest, namely a research model that compares the condition of a sample group before and after receiving intervention, through initial measurements (pretest) and final measurements (posttest). For analysis purposes, the data were processed using a paired mean difference test (paired sample t-test) to see whether there is a significant difference between the scores before and after the treatment is given. The statistical calculation results show a calculated t value of 4.29. This figure is then compared with the t table value at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) with 14 degrees of freedom (obtained from N – 1 = 15 – 1 = 14). Based on the two-way hypothesis test, the obtained t table value is 2.064. Because the calculated t (4.29) exceeds the t table (2.064), the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence. </p>Moh. YantoMas’odiNoer Wachid Riqzal Firdaus

<p>Students' intrinsic drive to learn and their performance in PJOK (Physical Education, Sports, and Health) courses in tenth grade are the subjects of this research. Using a correlational strategy, the research takes a quantitative approach. A total of 395 students from SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo make up the population. Using a cluster sampling approach, 70 students were chosen from 11 classes to make up the sample. Data on learning outcomes were derived from students' PJOK scores, and the study instrument was a learning motivation questionnaire that has been validated and demonstrated to be accurate in prior investigations. Because the variables did not follow a normal distribution, descriptive statistics were used to find out how the data was distributed, and inferential statistics were used to draw conclusions based on the data using Spearman rank correlation. C=0.520 (p>0.05) is the correlation coefficient that the data demonstrate. Based on these results, it seems that students' learning outcomes are unrelated to their desire to study. This provides further evidence that variables other than learning motivation, such as motor abilities and instructional strategies, impact PJOK learning results.</p>Chrisabel Anatasya MiraditaMochamad RidwanMuhamad ThurhamAlif Hanifah

<p style="text-align: justify;">The purpose of this study is to examine differences in basic basketball dribbling skills between junior high school (SMP) students in rural and urban areas. This study employed a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The sample consisted of 116 eighth-grade students, including 60 from rural areas and 56 from urban areas, selected using cluster sampling. The research instrument consisted of a basketball dribbling skills test covering six different skill categories with a total of 24 assessment indicators using a dichotomous scale. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The findings of this study indicate that students in rural and urban areas exhibit significantly different basketball dribbling skills (p = 0.02). Compared to students in urban areas (M = 89.63; SD = 7.54), students in rural areas demonstrated higher average skills (M = 92.77; SD = 6.58). These results indicate that the development of students’ motor skills is influenced by environmental factors, particularly the amount of physical activity, daily movement experiences, and other external factors. Despite limitations in institutional facilities, the findings of this study suggest that ball dribbling skills can be developed more effectively in remote areas. The implications of this research highlight the importance of an adaptive and contextual approach to physical education teaching, tailored to the characteristics of the students’ environment.</p>Jihan Dwi WulandariMuchamad Arif Al ArdhaNurhasan Sauqi Sawa BikalawanPutri Nur AlifahTio Fajar Fitrianto
